This was one of my earlier projects, probably 15 years ago!  It was a concept photo for Camelot Desserts.  This was a one time shoot and could not be retaken.  The client panicked and didn't know what to do because the photo needed to show a sliced piece of cake on a plate.  That was an easy fix.  The real challenge was the client also wanted a slice cut from the cake!  I took the slice from the plate and  flipped, distorted, created realistic shadows, and merged it with the cake - no re-shoot!!
